The Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension has an active research program which addresses a variety of topics. Research in the Department ranges from disciplinary research to applied, interdisciplinary research. The diversity of agricultural economic and rural economic development issues within Nigeria provides a wide array of research activities. Research programs in the Department are funded primarily through internal and external grants.
